The Chairman of the Executive Council for Young Businessmen, Eng. Abdullah Al-Breikan, revealed a number of recent initiatives and programs that reflect the importance of social responsibility for the youth businessmen in the region, and emphasize the presence of the business sector in the society in general.
He pointed out that this communication is a social service that is provided by young businessmen to charitable organizations in various fields.
He said that the last period (after the formation of the Council in its new session) witnessed a great activity by the members of the Council.
The most important of these activities is to communicate with a number of institutions with a social dimension, which is interested in supporting needy families in various ways.
He added that these steps aimed at continuing the efforts made in recent years to support families in need, orphans and people with disabilities.
He added that the Council-in this regard-has ensured that all the requirements for providing a headquarters for Eithar (charitable organization for activating organ donation) in Al-Ahsa. It is to serve as a true and continuous supporter of the Organization that helps to play its role in this regard, and contributes to its communication with the community in the Eastern region, and to raise awareness of organ donation.
He pointed out that the Council contributed 70 thousand riyals to support the program of the Association of Volunteer Services (Sawaed), in the areas of spreading awareness of the importance of social work voluntarily and professionally.
The Council also ensures the formulation and development of a detailed marketing plan based on scientific and professional basis for the programs of the Saudi Charity Association (KANAF) that is specialized in providing health insurance for orphans, widows and children of martyrs of duty.
In addition, the Council visited the activities of Ertiqa Organization, which is the organization for the rehabilitation and modernization of old computer hardware and donating them of the needy people, in order to integrate them with the global technological developments.
The Council has undertaken to discuss ways to motivate donors to the Organization through establishing awareness-raising activities and programs in order to collect 100 laptops and transfer them to the Organization for rehabilitation and donation to the beneficiary groups.
In this regard, he explained that a number of members of the Board visited-during the past weeks-the new headquarters of Etaam and contributed to the preparation of 100 meals.
A number of members of the Board participated in the activities of the Committee of Friends of Patients in the Eastern Region, including a visit to patients at the Medical Complex in Dammam and distribution of gifts to patients and nurses.
Al-Breikan said that these efforts and activities are dedicated to the importance of the social work of the young businessmen, and to enhance the values of communication and solidarity among the members of society in all its sectors.
It is also consistent with the social responsibility efforts of the business sector in general towards its homeland and society.
